Any recommendations for good books to read over the summer?
I asked question before but I think I posted it at a bad time, since today is a holiday I figured more people would be on Tumblr to answer it.
So any recommendations I’m open to pretty much anything.

Colo. Springs 2nd-Grader Who Dressed As Martin Luther King, Jr. In Black Face Paint, Wants Apology From School
Unpopular Opinion: I agree that the school should apologize to the child for handling this situation inappropriately. I do not believe this child or their parents had any malicious intent behind their actions. If you listen to the child’s statement you can tell he did this illinformed action from a good place.
Unfortunately many Americans (including the child’s parents) in our time now do not understand the horrible history of “Black face” in the entertainment industry. And don’t understand why people would be offended by this.
I’m not saying that racism doesn’t exist, but not in this case.
Be proactive not REACTIVE.

Can anybody recommend some good albums?
I’ve been doing a modified daily music challenge this whole month and I’ve realized that I need some new music to listen to. I also realized its been a real long time since I’ve listen to an album from start to finish.
I like pretty much anything except sugary American pop, mainstream country, most mainstream hip-hop/rap and shit that sucks in general. I’ll listen to anything from any time period preferably stuff that I can stream on Spotify… money is a little tight right now.
So what do you recommend?

I just love Otep Shamaya. Most metal music is agressive, but she brings real emotion into her “angry” songs. When I hear most of her songs I can feel her pain its not just her expressing anger. She truly understands the concept of honoring your pain, that’s why OTEP is one of my favorite musical projects to listen too, tons of respect.
